to fully recover and that fractured bedrock aquifers may take up to four times the pumping rate time to fully recover. (Weight and Sonderegger 2001) Parting Thoughts Groundwater has been the topic of news headlines for many years. Recently though with the increased pressure and demand for groundwater resources to replace dwindling surface water supplies, the need to quantify and qualify available groundwater resources has rarely been so important. Providing quality aquifer and pump- ing test information and data is one of the best ways to fulfill the technical requirements of developing water re- source strategies for the future. To meet our future water needs, groundwater professionals will be called upon to pro- vide the best available science and data possible to help ensure we achieve those demands and to help facilitate the man- agement our society's water needs.
