60 | Overdrive | May 2015 CUSTOM RIGS N ashville-based Mack technician Mike Morgan won the fi rst-ever Meri- tor ChampTruck World Series race last month in Millville, N.J., where the series' inaugural race weekend hit the New Jersey Motors- ports Park. All told, the weekend featured seven races, with the main event, the Podium Race, taking place on the fi nal day. That race determined the weekend's points winner and a big fi rst step toward the series' season championship. Morgan won both a heat on Satur- day and the Podium Race on Sunday, earning him the weekend crown.
