drought-tolerant evergreen

weeping form is common

ly used here, showing off
attractive foliage and clus-
ters of pinkish fruits in the
fall and winter. This tree can
be invasive.
Black mulberry (Morus
nigra) comes from Asia.
This pollution- and salt-tol-
erant tree grows up to 12
m (39 feet). It needs ade-
quate water to produce its
edible fruit, a dark purple
berry that is considered by
many to be the tastiest of
mulberries.
