DIGEST www.PowersportsBusiness.com Powersports Business • May 25, 2015 • 39 not ordered in a timely fashion? Customer has been notified, just waiting on them to pick up: Customer is busy, out of town or does not have the funds. Is a notation in the repair order sufficient per your state laws? Customers might try to leave the units longer. Document everything. What is the weather like? If this is a watercraft, and it is October, the customer might think he or she can leave it at the dealer- ship. Charge storage. As you are reviewing these items, take notes and be prepared to have discussions with the appropriate personnel. Show them the statistics. Create your own statistics for a few months. Many dealer management systems allow repair orders to be categorized. Make sure the service writers are doing just that. Finally, try to always follow up. Too many times intentions are good, but there is not any follow through. Run reports, ask questions and analyze. Being proactive could save you and the manufacturer time and money. Get rid of that sour taste and say goodbye to the lemons! PSB Paula Crosbie is the training development manager with CDK Global Recreation. "It's a great experience. I actually have to plan it away from July 4, so it doesn't affect our local community fireworks shows," he said. "It lines up the high- ways; it lines up the road in front of us, and a lot of our neighbors have private parties to watch the fireworks." This year's fireworks show, now celebrating its sixth year, promises to be bigger and better than before, Richmond said. The Kentucky State HOG Rally will also be hosted at Wildcat on June 4-6, featuring hours of riding and opportunities for fellowship. "It's strictly a riding rally that we're doing. It's not about having tons of vendors; it's about getting on the motorcycle and riding," explained Rich- mond. "We'll have over 15 guided rides each day going out to different areas of the Kentucky countryside. It's beautiful riding that you don't get anywhere else." The dealership strives to offer at least one large event each month and several special riding opportunities throughout the month. "We've really challenged our HOG club this year and our customer base this year to ride more. We're trying to do five or six, some- times even 10 rides a month that leave out of our store." In addition to rides, Wildcat is focused on promoting new rider classes and seminars to educate the next generation of motorcyclists. "Harley's got their new Street motorcycles, and we're trying to push that with young people," said Richmond. "We're really trying to break down those walls and those barriers to new rid- ers. We want to make it fun." PSB WILDCAT CONTINUED FROM PAGE 38 BRP SELLS 100,000TH SPYDER BRP's 100,000th Can-Am Spyder rolled off the assembly line on April 20. BRP and Pit Bull Powersports, the local dealer, presented the autographed vehicle, a 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3-S, to its new owner, Missouri firefighter, Brahm Wilson, on April 30 during the banquet kicking off the world's largest Spyder gathering, Spyderfest. Wilson, who rode with more than 1,200 other Can-Am Spyder enthusiasts at Spyder- fest 2015 inSpringfield, Mo., joins a growing community of Spyder owners across the globe. "I'm an ex-motorcyclist, returning to rid- ing after a few years away, and I have been admiring the Can-Am Spyder for a while now," said Wilson. "With the introduction of the Spyder F3, I decided that was the bike for me, and it ended up being the 100,000th to come off the assembly line. I couldn't ask for anything more than to share this amaz- ing experience with the Spyder community at Spyderfest!" "It has been a great ride with the Can-Am Spyder since we first unveiled it in 2007, to today, delivering the 100,000th unit," said José Boisjoli, BRP's president and chief executive officer."
