24 JUNE 2015 OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT www.outdoorpowerequipment.com PRODUCT ROUNDUP PRODUCTS ATLAS COPCO'S TIER 4 FINAL QAS 45 PORTABLE GENERATOR Atlas Copco Portable Energy packs a great amount of power into its heavy-duty QAS 45 portable generator. The unit features an Isuzu 4LE2X engine and a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) to achieve Tier 4 Final emission levels. The QAS 45 is rated for 45 kVA of prime power for applications such as construction, oil and gas, rental and large events. The QAS 45 generator is designed with a reliable alternator and a simple control panel. It also boasts a 72.5-gallon fuel tank for run times as long as 30 hours under typical loads. Atlas Copco Construction Equipment BRIGGS & STRATTON POWERSMART SERIES INVERTER GENERATORS Briggs & Stratton recently upgraded its PowerSmart Series inverter generators. Previously a feature only on the P3000 model, parallel capabilities are now available on upgraded P2100 model inverters, allowing two units to be connected together to provide outdoor recreation and tailgating enthusiasts with even more quiet, smart, consistent and affordable power. "Outdoor recreation enthusiasts who require more power than a standard 2- or 3-kilowatt inverter, but still want the benefit of quiet operation, now have the ability to connect two Briggs & Stratton PowerSmart Series inverter units," said Dan Roche, director of marketing for Briggs & Stratton's Portable Power and Cleaning Systems group. "Parallel capabilities allow two units to be connected — either on two P2100s, two P3000s or a P2100 and a P3000 inverter — for more power." Parallel capabilities provide the additional power needed to enable users to continue running their RV's HVAC unit, while simulta- neously keeping the lights on, charging cell phones, or using portable appliances. PowerSmart inverters feature computer- controlled technology that continuously and automatically adjusts engine speed to reduce noise and fuel consumption. Producing less than 3-percent harmonic distortion, the inverter technology behind PowerSmart generators make them safe for powering laptops, TVs, gaming systems and other sensitive electron- ics. The twin-handle design makes it easy for two people to lift and transport the generator between locations. Briggs & Stratton Corp. BRIGGS & STRATTON'S REDESIGNED ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHER WITH POWERFLOW+ TECHNOLOGY Briggs & Stratton recently redesigned its electric pressure washer with POWERflow+ technology to improve customer convenience. Pressure washers with POWERflow+ give users the ability to clean with both high pres- sure and high flow, a technological innovation exclusive to Briggs & Stratton. Improvements to the redesigned unit include an enhanced hose storage system, which wraps by hand to increase ease of use and coiling; a single, larger detergent tank, which allows users to complete intensive cleaning tasks without refilling the soap mid-task; and a redesign of the wheel hub and its substructure, providing increased strength while making the unit easy to maneuver from project to project. Generating up to 1,800-max psi and 4-gpm water flow, the electric POWERflow+ model delivers 3 times more water flow than standard electric pressure washers. The electric units continue to feature the specially designed 26-foot hose and custom-engineered POWERflow+ gun with soft-grip handle. Water then flows into the exclusive 7-in-1 nozzle. This timesaving pressure washer nozzle with 1-handed use (similar to a garden hose nozzle) allows users to change from high pres- sure to high flow, as well as engage the soap- on-demand feature, without changing nozzles. The pump will then propel the stream up to 25 feet. In addition, the electric unit provides the same impact force as a 220-psi gas-powered pressure washer at 12 feet. The electric POWERflow+ unit also features a fold-down handle for compact storage. Briggs & Stratton Corp. KIPOR'S E-AVR GENSET KGE6500DE The new e-AVR genset KGE6500DE is destined to be one of the most popular series of Kipor generators to date. Equipped with Kipor's new POWERBOOST technology, it is built to deliver the higher power needed to start everything from power tools to appliances such as air conditioners quickly and efficiently. The e-AVR control unit automatically senses and supplies constant sine wave and increased output to produce higher load capacity when needed. Kipor e-AVR series generators deliver smart, quiet and clean power. Kipor Power Equipment Inc. P O R TA B L E G E N E R AT O R S & P R E S S U R E WA S H E R S EQUIPMENT FOCUS
