Overdrive names
Most Beautiful
contest winner
Overdrive's Most Beautiful,
which recognizes female
drivers who stand out for
image and professionalism,
named Joanne Fatta winner
of the 2015 contest.
Fatta will be presented at
The Great American Truck-
ing Show in August, and she
will be featured in an upcom-
ing issue of Overdrive.
More than 80 women
participated in the contest,
now in its third year. Online
voting by readers narrowed
the field to 10. A second
round of reader voting pro-
duced three finalists: Fatta,
Erikalynn Graham and Amy
McGrath.
Fatta, 51, of Lancaster,
Pa., hauls produce full time
as a company driver for Sun-
rise Transport while helping
to train new drivers. Of
more than 125 Sunrise driv-
ers, she was named Driver of
the Year in 2013.
"Trucking can help wom-
en become independent and
financially secure," she says.
"Work hard, keep a good
attitude, and you can achieve
your goals."
