34 tobaccoasia By Eric Piras It looks as if 2015 promises to be an exciting year for cigar aficionados in Asia with a number of new editions or limited releases, the opportunity to dis- cover boutique brand makers, and a few exciting shop openings. In the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the newly opened Davidoff Pavilion is an oasis of quiet and relaxation. The project is the epitome of the Davidoff professional approach, applying its design concept "Davidoff of Geneva – since 1911" which embodies the legendary combination of innovative savoir-faire and savoir-vivre of the brand. Besides a wide variety of all Davidoff lines, aficionados can also find AVO, Camacho, Griffin's, and Zino Platinum cigars, as well as an exquisite selection from other origins. The elegant accessories, professional service and premium quality of the Davidoff range can also be found in the new Davidoff Venetian 515, in Premium Cigars: What's New in 2015? Davidoff Pavilion Macau. Also in Macau, the Davidoff Galaxy Phase 2 is scheduled for opening late May 2015. The con- temporary design of the Kuala Lumpur flagship store has been applied to both these stores, where fine timbers and natural materials in earthy tones create a contemporary, warm environment imbued with copper hues and a refined atmosphere. In Hong Kong, The Pacific Cigar Co. has opened a most impressive outlet named The Har- bour Cigar Divan: situated in a 1926 Heritage Build- ing with three floors totalling 1,200sq.ft The con- cept of this superbly renovated and furnished store is to recreate a view of the old Hong Kong har- bour, seen from a ship. On the ground floor, the shop carries Habanos brands, Siglo, Elie Bleu, and Linley accessories. The other levels feature a beau- tiful lounge and a walk-in humidor with over 70 lockers available for rent.
