78 tobaccoasia Staff Report For the first time, InterTabac, the world's biggest trade fair for tobacco products and smoking ac- cessories, covered a previously unprecedented five halls and visitor numbers were approximately 11,000 trade visitors – 10% above the previous year. Sabine Loos, Westfallenhallen Dortmund GmbH's chief executive officer, said: "Inter Tabac 2014 once again brought in thousands of overnight visitors to the city and once again gave the industry the opportunity to present itself at the highest level at a world-leading trade fair." What is striking is that this year the trade visi- tors clearly see that InterTabac is on the up. More than half of the trade visitors judged InterTabac 2014 to be even better than last year's trade fair. Record Numbers/Impressive Growth for InterTabac 2014 On Septebmer 18-20, 2015 InterSupply, exhibi- tion for tobacco manufacturers, debuts alongside InterTabac. InterSupply focuses on the upstream process steps in the production of tobacco prod- ucts including raw tobacco, aromas/additives, manufacturing, wrapping machinery to leaf pack- ing and packaging – all steps of the manufacturing process are presented, and so is the production as well as the supply of components for e-cigarettes. This new international trade fair for tobacco production addresses trade visitors who look to perfect the quality of their products and to opti- mize their production processes. At InterSupply all components and the latest production technol- ogies for tobacco goods were showcased.
