Courtesy of Aaron Tippin Upcoming Justice record includes Tippin collaboration A rising voice among trucker sing- er-songwriters, Everhart Transpor- tation driver Tony Justice reports that work on a new record is get- ting under way this summer, and for the title track, he'll be joined by well-known music veteran and former truck driver Aaron Tippin. The "Brothers of the Highway" tune, penned by Kim Williams, also was recorded by George Strait for his 2008 "Troubadour" album. Justice says the vocal collabo- ration reinforces the focus of his third album, which is to reinvigo- rate in drivers the "sense of pride that truck drivers used to have." He is shooting for an October release for his next collection. Tony Justice Aaron Tippin Tyler Oxendine DIVERSIONS DIVERSIONS By MATT COLE The Trucking Moves America Forward advocacy initiative, along with Pilot Flying J's "Health Champion" eff ort and NBC's most successful "Biggest Loser," Pete Thomas, are off ering truck drivers tips on achieving health and wellness. While on "Biggest Loser" for 62 days in 2005, Thomas lost 83 pounds. He later lost another 102 pounds, and he has kept the weight off for 10 years. In 2010, he and Flying J formed a partnership to help professional drivers live a healthier lifestyle. Thomas points to the "3 F s" as key for permanent weight loss: • Fluid. Don't drink your calo- ries. Instead, consume calorie-free water or diet soda with your meal. • Filler. Eat plenty of low-cal- orie vegetables or salad with low-calorie dressing to fi ll up on healthier items. • Feast. Enjoy that mouth-wa- tering steak or other "feast" foods sparingly, and only after eating healthier "fi ller" choices.
