In beverage alcohol, 100 is still young compared to the beer, wine and spirit brands that trace their beginnings back to the 19th century, 18th century or even earlier. One brand featured in this issue became a centenarian decades ago. Brown-Forman traces its roots back more than 140 years and stayed in business during Prohibition thanks to a pharmaceutical license to continue distilling whis- key. I visited the company's headquarters and Woodford Reserve distillery (page 13), learning more about the brand's new rye whiskey and the new Old Forester distillery in downtown Louisville that's still under construction. As Beverage Dynamics approaches its 80th anniversary later this year, we'll con- tinue to highlight brands celebrating milestones many times more impressive than that notable anniversary. Speaking of long-term success, for the fi rst time Beverage Dynamics is inducting wine and spirit brands into the Growth Brands Hall of Fame (page 28). The Hall of Fame is a new award recognizing brands that have received at least 15 Growth Brand Awards over the 19 years of the program. Only seven spirit brands and one wine brand made the cut and joined the inaugural class during our induction ceremony at the WSWA Convention in Orlando. A number of brands currently stand at 14 and will be eligible for the Hall of Fame in 2016, provided they meet the criteria for winning another Growth Brand Award. Congratulations to all of this year's Hall of Fame winners, and best wishes to the entire industry (young and old brands alike) for continued success in the years to come. Jeremy Nedelka Editor Correction: Green Mark Vodka from Roust Inc. should have been included as a Rising Star in the Growth Brands feature in the previous issue (Rising Spirits, Mar/Apr 2015). The brand went from 14,000 9-liter cases in 2013 to 27,000 9-liter cases in 2014, which is an increase of 92.9 percent. Growth Brands Hall of Fame, page 28.
