Lexi Thompson, plus Brittany Lincicome, and defend-
ing champion M.J. (Mi Jung) Hur in the Yokohama Tire

This venue, part of the statewide Robert Trent

There are a large contingent of players with state-
wide ties in the eld including former Auburn players
Karlin Beck, Marta Sanz, Carlie Yadloczky and Cydney
Clanton, and former University of Alabama players
Stephanie Meadow, Brooke Pancake, Jennifer Kirby,
Kathleen Ekey and Jenny Suh. Current UA golfer,
2013 U.S. Women's Amateur champion and 2015
NCAA Individual champion Emma Talley is also play-
ing as an amateur, as is her fellow UA senior Janie Jack-
son, of Huntsville, who advanced from open qualifying
after a playo .
Last year, Hur red a closing round 66 to win by
four shots from then-World No. 1 Lewis.
It was Hur's second LPGA win and she accom-
plished it in some style with a tournament-record four-
round total of 21-under-par.
She admitted to being wary of Lewis -- who
wouldn't be -- but played her own game and nished
very strong with ve birdies in her last 11 holes to
secure the "W."
