Anita Azarenko, chair of Oregon State University's Department of Horticulture, received the Columbia Gorge Fruit Growers' Cooperator of the Year award during a recent sweet cherry research symposium. Azarenko joined the horticultural department in 1986 after receiv- ing her doctorate in horticulture from the University of Maryland.
