Fleet News 74 | Overdrive | September 2015 J&R Schugel providing satellite TV J&R SCHUGEL TRUCKING, a New Ulm, Minn.-based employee-owned company, partnered with EpicVue to provide DirecTV to more than 25 percent of its fleet. The EpicVue package will be available for company drivers, lease-purchase drivers and owner-operators as a pass-along benefit for $60 per month. The service will be provided on a first-come first-served volunteer basis to 150 drivers. By Dean SmallwooD EQUIPMENT CON-WAY FREIGHT purchased 875 new Freightliner tractors to replace older units as part of its 2015 fleet replacement cycle. The Ann Arbor, Mich.-based less-than-truckload company is taking delivery of about 450 Cascadias, which will be used in line-haul operations. The remaining deliveries will be the Class 7 M2, for use primarily in city pickup and delivery service. FACILITIES ESTES EXPRESS LINES, a pro- vider of regional less-than- truckload services, opened a new terminal in Norristown, Pa., to accommodate increased demand for the Richmond, Va.-based company's services in the greater Philadelphia region. Located near Interstate 476, I-276, the Pennsylvania Turnpike and U.S. 202, the Norristown terminal has 44 doors and is the eighth Estes facility in the Philadelphia area. HONORS BOYD BROS. TRANSPORTATION recognized Johnnie Cobb for becoming its seventh driver to achieve three million safe miles. Cobb has driven for the Clayton, Ala.-based flatbed company for 28 years and was honored with a proclamation from Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley, prizes and a celebration that included lunch and cake. Boyd Bros. also declared May 8 as the compa- ny's "Johnnie Cobb Day."
