In this view of the Han River and Nanji Hangang Park, you see the trailing vine, Japanese hops (Humulus japonica). It's considered a noxious weed that threatens riparian areas back in Columbia, Missouri, but it's regarded as a useful native plant in Korea. Seoul street trees: ginkgos (Ginkgo biloba) were the most common street tree but zelkovas (Zelkova serrata) and plane trees (Platanus x acerifolia) were also prevalent. www.urban-forestry.com 37
