CUSTOM RIGS PRIDE & POLISH
SEEING RED.
Oklahoma-based owner-operator
Mike Lemley, a tanker hauler,
bought this 2000 Peterbilt 379 in
2006. A few years into owning it,
Lemley decided to tear it apart and
rebuild it, one of the main reasons
being to paint it all red. "Everything
I've always had was red," he said.
"We peeled it off the frame, redid
everything, replaced everything that
needed to be replaced, painted it
all red and put it back together."
With "Cathouse," Lemley aimed for
a hot-rod look. "I wanted to make
it clean and simple – a less-is-more
type of deal," he says. It's his daily
work rig, as he pulls fuel tankers in
Oklahoma and Texas.
