n the seventh race
of the Meritor

Series' inaugural
season, Hungarian racer
Krisztian Szabo took
home his second first-
place trophy, this time at
the Sept. 11-13 event at
Motorsports Park Hastings
in Nebraska.

produced six lead
changes, four major spins
that altered the finish and
a contested contact in the
last corner on the last lap
that resulted in a penalty
being assessed, again
changing the finishing
order of the race.
After all the dust settled,
Szabo came out on top,
with Mack tech Mike
Morgan being awarded
a contested second-place
finish. Former Indianapolis
500 competitor Davey
Hamilton, who drove the
No. 11 Optima Batteries
Freightliner Columbia,
took a hard-fought third
place.
