Xylem Inc., a global water technology company, has an- nounced two significant lead- ership appointments. Colin Sabol has been named senior vice president and president, analytics and treatment. In this role, he will lead the global operations of these two business divisions. Sabol most recently served as senior vice president and president, dewatering for the company. David Flinton, currently vice president, marketing and engineering for Xylem's applied water systems divi- sion, has been promoted to senior vice president and president, dewatering. He will be responsible for all as- pects of Xylem's dewatering operations globally including strategy, sales and marketing, product development, manu- facturing, and supply chain. Rorrer Well Drilling Inc. is building a new shop in Chris- tiansburg, Virginia. Eric Rorrer, CWD/PI, president, anticipates completion in No- vember 2016, with the site becoming the primary loca- tion and corporate offices of Rorrer Well Drilling and its subsidiaries. Rorrer Well Drilling is active in all facets of drilling in Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. The company also has divisions that perform water pump and filtration systems. Rorrer Well Drilling's subsidiaries consist of a property devel- opment and excavating company. This project is approxi- mately 5 acres in size and will initially consist of two buildings totaling 17,000 square feet that will be di- vided into office and ware- house spaces. More enclosed space will be added as needed. Rorrer Well Drilling's excavating division is doing all of the site work while its building manufac- turer will install the buildings and will finish all of the inte- rior spaces after they are completed. These buildings will be constructed in an energy-conscientious manner to minimize their fossil foot- prints and will use geother- mal heating and cooling and state-of-the-art insulation designed for commercial warehouse applications. SJE-Rhombus, a manufac- turer of control solutions for water and wastewater appli- cations, conducted product training September 15-16 for 22 attendees representing a variety of distributors, in- stallers, engineers, and manu- facturer's representative agencies at its manufacturing headquarters located in De- troit Lakes, Minnesota. Float switches, Tank Alert alarms, Build-A-Panel control pan- els, EZ Series control panels, and Installer Friendly Series control panels were the focus of the training event.
