Twitter @WaterWellJournl NGWA Staff Visits Member Firms Members of the NGWA staff have been traversing North America this fall, visiting with some of its most loyal manu- facturer and supplier members and customers. NGWA CEO Kevin McCray, CAE, and Shelby Fleck and Wanda Bloch, members of NGWA's advertising and exhibits sales team, have met with companies to discuss how NGWA can better serve their needs, and in turn, how better serve the groundwater industry as a whole. McCray and Fleck visited Star Iron Works Inc. on Septem- ber 17 in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. There, they met with Star Iron Works' Mary Lou Stockdale and others, toured the company's facility, and had lunch. Bloch was in Texas September 22-24 where she visited Gicon Pumps & Equipment Ltd. in Abernathy; Cotey Chemi- cal Corp., Rex McFadden Co. Ltd., and Simmons Pump Corp. all in Lubbock; and Robbco Pumps in Idalou. McCray and Fleck also visited Taylor Industries on Septem- ber 30 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and GEFCO/King Oil Tools in Enid, Oklahoma, the following day. "It's always rewarding when we can get out of our office and see people on their turf," Fleck says. "Especially some of the companies we have worked with for years. It's a great opportunity for us to find out what's new and what we can do for them." Bloch has enjoyed the visits as well. She found Lubbock both interesting—several large water well companies call the town home—and fun—the entire community seems to love Texas Tech University Red Raider football. "It has been wonderful visiting with members and learning what issues they face today and how NGWA can help," Bloch says.
