Affiliate States Peer to Peer Meeting Wednesday, December 16 3–5 p.m. The annual meeting of Affiliate State executives and officers, this open forum is a great place to discuss issues facing your state and provides the opportunity to receive feedback from fellow associa- tion leaders on how they have managed similar situations. In addition, there will be several short presentations with information on topics to increase your association's overall success. (Open to Affiliate State executives and officers. Advance registration is required.) Exhibit Hall The Exhibit Hall will be packed with the latest products from the groundwater industry's manufacturers and suppliers on thousands of feet of exhibit space. Make sure to leave plenty of time to be in the hall during the 12 hours it is open. Exhibit Hall hours: ● Wednesday, December 16 12–6 p.m. ● Thursday, December 17 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Before you head to the hall, make sure to get your Expo attendee badge and grab a program and bag for all your take-home materials. You can get both at the on-site registration and welcome area. These 30-minute presentations will include: • Diagnosing pump problems with a megometer • Documenting your projects with photography • Downhole camera—an effective tool in your toolbox • Groundwater apps for Android devices 2015 NGWREF Darcy Lecture Farewell Presentation Wednesday, December 16 1:30–3 p.m. Gain insight from Rainer Helmig, Ph.D., on soil-moisture processes in the subsurface and how they play a crucial role in the hydrological cycle and the groundwater budget. In Helmig's presentation titled "Modeling and Analysis of Soil- Moisture Processes in the Subsurface: The Influence of Evaporation and Salt Precipitation in Groundwater" he explains understanding soil-moisture conditions in this zone is of interest in various applications in hydrology—such as land-atmospheric interaction, soil evaporation and evapotranspiration, and climate modeling.
