DRINK CULTURE www.cheersonline.com 11 November/December 2015 • Barton 1792 Distillery has unveiled 1792 Port Finish Bourbon. This whiskey was aged for six years in new American white oak barrels before spending another two years inside used port wine barrels. The vanilla charac- teristics of American white oak mingle with fruit notes of port, the company says. 1792 Port Finish Bourbon is bottled at 88.9 proof, with a suggested retail price of $39.99 per 750-ml. bottle. Angry Orchard's new Stone Dry is an American interpretation of the traditional English dry cider style. It offers bright apple aroma, juicy fl avor and a clean dry fi nish, the company says, a balance between the sweetness and acidity of culinary apples and the tannins of traditional cider-making apples. This cider is gluten-free, 5.5% ABV, and is available in draft, and 6-packs for $8.99- 10.99. BuzzBallz has announced a new product, Shooterz, and new fall fl avors of the BuzzBallz single-serving line. Shooterz are 750-ml. bottles of 30-proof, ready-to-pour shots. They are 30% ABV each, and have a suggested retail price of $10.99. The fl avors are Red Hot Cinnamon Shot, Chocolate Caramel Cake, Jalapeño Lime, Lemon Squeeze and Licorice Bomb. The fall lineup of 200-ml. bottles—15% to 20% ABV, for a suggested retail price of $2.99 each—includes Sinner's Apple Fire,Pumpkin Pie Eater, Blueberry Blitz and Ginger Mule. McWilliam's Wine Group Ltd. has unveiled its new line of high-altitude, cool-climate wines. The 2013 caber- net sauvignon, 2013 shiraz and 2014 chardonnay are grown at elevations from 650 ft. to 1,700 ft. in Australia's New South Wales region. The cooler weather at these locations provide a longer period of ripening for the fruit, the company says. This supports the development of fragrant, medium-bod- ied wines. The new wines are available for a suggested retail price of $14.99 per 750-ml. bottle. DRINK CULTURE 11 November/December 2015 •
