After record boat sales in 2013 and 2014, Hagadone has made signifi cant investments in infrastructure, sales and service upgrades. Buckeye hired two service writers in order to free up the service manager to steer the department. Russo selected a new location in 2014 for a 2015 move in order to lower its operating costs and improve effi ciency. Bosun's completed a $1 million, multi-year property renovation and signed leases for two new marina and sales locations. Action Water Sports signed a purchase agreement for land to build a new store to create more working space for service, a larger showroom and better visibility. BMC Boats overcame a fi re that destroyed half its building to increase business in 2014. Marine Connection continued to grow its geographic footprint by expanding to two new markets in 2014. Oak Hill Marina started using behavioral-based questions for job interviews, resulting in better hires. Irwin Marine acquired an established nearby marina, leading to more walk-in traffi c for the on-water location.
