After three years of planning, Payne opened a high-end fi sh and chip restaurant, which became immediately successful. Plantation Boat Mart added a dedicated sales manager to free up time for its owner and lead salesperson, who had previously fi lled the role. Port Sandfi eld increased its eBay sales in 2014, helping to move more parts and accessories inventory. Rayburns started a ladies surf night promotion and contest with a local radio station, creating revenue for the board shop and increased boat sales. Reed's reorganized and added staff to parts and service, resulting in a 13.7 percent increase in parts and labor sales. The dealership focused on improving its service department in 2014, offering new training opportunities and buying new equipment. The dealership invested in improving its online presence and hired an outside company to manage Google Adwords, resulting in a 35 percent in web traffi c. Shipyard focused on developing and training employees to minimize any skill set voids within the team. To fi ll a hole in its product line, Short's added Scout Boats to its offerings in 2014.
