Skier's Marine implemented the Spader Cost Line Pay Plan for sales and service personnel, resulting in a 20 percent increase in sales. In order to improve turnaround time and service effi ciency, Slalom Shop hired additional service techs and continued to refi ne its processes. South Florida Mastercraft joined a 20 group, helping it to improve its operations and increasing profi tability. South Shore implemented "progress billing" to allow service work that has been completed to be billed, even if additional work still needs to be completed. Spicer's had each salesperson take responsibility for a product line. Adding these product specialists has improved expertise in sales. Expansion to the Lake Erie yacht market helped Spring Brook Marina drive increased sales of new and used boats, and higher service revenue. Starboard hired a new director of service and constructed a new service facility, resulting in higher levels of measured effi ciency, and an increase in revenue. Superior continued to grow the sales portion of its business with the addition of Regal boats to its offerings. Texas Marine developed a new "Business Development Center" to help improve customer communication and grow the business.
