www.BoatingIndustry.com 8 | Boating Industry | December 2015 A s the Boating Industry Top 100 enters its second de- cade, the dealers on this year's list are healthier than they have been in years. The growth and recovery that started in 2011 continued this year, as the Top 100 and Hall of Fame topped $2.5 billion in total sales — the highest total for the Top 100 since 2008. With that recovery also came the toughest competition in years, as plenty of good companies did not make the cut for 2015. From thousands of dealers and hundreds of nomina- tions, this year's Top 100 has emerged. The average Top 100 company grew revenue by 10.8 percent this year — the fourth year in a row of double- digit sales growth. The Top 100 sold 23,117 boats in 2014, a 17 percent increase from 2013. They sold nearly 5,000 engines, a 19 percent jump. At the same time, they grew net profi t and margins, and improved service effi ciency and CSI scores. On the following pages, you'll fi nd best practices from the Top 100 in marketing, management, service and more. We also have a profi le of the 2015 Boating Industry Top 100 Dealer of the Year — Gordy's Lakefront Marine, with their second win — plus Best in Class winners, Editor's Choice companies and the Hall of Fame. Finally, as we have for the last few years, we've ranked the Top 20, with the remaining 80 companies listed in alphabetical order. BY BOATING INDUSTRY STAFF The 2015 Top 100 Dealers
