Grundfos Expands Extended SP Submersible Pump Range Grundfos has launched an extended range of high-efficiency medium-sized SP sub- mersible groundwater pumps. The increase in pump efficiency and im- proved wear resistance strengthens the reputa- tion the SP pump already has for reliability, system integration, and for efficiency. Many of the improve- ments seen on the new 4- inch SP pump range are taken from the range of large SP pumps for profes- sional end-users. The range has been expanded from two to three sizes (with one more to follow) and is built en- tirely of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, with three different material grades available, covering liquids from drinking water to seawater. http://us.grundfos.com Featured PRODUCTS Onset Announces First Bluetooth Low Energy Water Level Logger Onset, a global manufacturer of data loggers, announced the HOBO MX2001, the industry's first water level data logger de- signed for convenient wireless setup and download from mobile devices via Bluetooth Low Energy. The MX2001 dramatically simpli- fies and lowers the cost of collecting field data by providing wireless access to high-accuracy water l evel and tem- perature measurements right from a mobile phone or tablet. Researchers no longer need to take a laptop computer out to the field or pull data loggers out of a well to download data. Nor is Internet access necessary—the logger and mobile device are all that is required. www.onsetcomp.com Flomatic Introduces Quieter VFD Pump Check Valve Flomatic Corp.'s new 1-inch-sized VFD special patented pump check valve is designed for use with variable frequency drive controlled submersible pumps. Standard check valves "chat- ter" and are noisy when a VFD goes to low flow conditions— causing noise, premature wear, and eventual failure. The unique Model 100E VFD and 100ES VFD valve are designed to minimize flow losses and hydraulic shocks in the pumping system. Both the inlet and outlet threaded area allow for longer pipe threads. An exclusive guided poppet system (op- tional SS poppet) ensures the valve automatically adjusts noiselessly from high to very low flow rates. www.flomatic.com 60 December 2015 WWJ waterwelljournal.com Blackhawk Offers Lease, 'Try and Buy' Program Blackhawk Technology Co., a manufacturer of piston pumps with above-well drivers, now offers a lease program for its family of pneumatic top-head-drive motors. Customers can try one of its Atlas, V-2, or Edge drivers and apply the lease payments to the purchase price, or rent a driver for short-term needs. Blackhawk reciprocating-action, positive-displacement piston pumps are known for pump- ing virtually any liquid or semi-solid regard- less of chemical com- position or well angle. The pneumatics are designed for depths to 800 feet and flows to 11 gallons per minute, depending upon the model, and are suitable for a broad range of applications. No compressed air ever enters the well. www.blackhawkco.com CALL AIR PUMP WATER SOLUTIONS INC. 1-877-423-7629 OR VISIT AIR-PUMP.COM How can you take care of iron and sulfur problems and remain competitive?
