The Neogrind, unveiled during the recent Host hospitality exhibition in Milan, Italy, features modular construction for two or three grinds up to 2,500 kg per hour with a grinding range from classic filter to capsule and superfine quality. The Neogrind has several new design features, the company says. The fully accessible grinding chamber includes an internal continu- ous, smooth stainless steel surface. In addition, EQUIPMENT NEWS new guide plate technol- ogy and a gas-tight grinding chamber minimize coffee adhe- sions. As a result, there are minimal quality variations. The grinder's "a servo-controlled grinding gap adjustment is a few thousandths of a millime- ter; and the grinding gap is automatically corrected," according to the company. "The grinding gap and the roller speed are continu- ously adjustable, allowing for the large grinding spectrum." The Neogrind grinder includes intuitive touch screen controls that can be integrated into any control system. This allows the grinder to accommodate individual recipes from batch to batch. The GCap range of filling equip- ment includes lines designed to easily and flexibly manage capsules of different shapes (FAP, Nespresso, and Dolce Gusto), with speeds of up to 120, 240 and 360 capsules per minute. Motorized sealing groups work with the typical "chessboard" layout to optimize the use of materials and minimize production waste. Twin augers guarantee product homogene- ity. A nitrogen tunnel encloses the capsules from the filling station to the lid sealing area. All groups are assembled on tracks to ease maintenance, cleaning, and to simplify reel changes maximiz- ing production efficiency. Load cells provide direct feedback to augers for weight control, and cameras are used to verify the central position and the correct sealing of the top lid. Learn more: www.gogliocap.com.
