Quilting queen
For H.O.G. chapters or clubs inter-
ested in a nice memento, or a fundrais-
ing opportunity: My sister, Gertrude
O'Neal, makes really great quilts from
twin to king size, costing between
$300 and $500 (plus shirts and post-
age). The quilt pictured, measuring
80" x 85", was made this year for the
Long Island Harley Riders Christmas
party. Each quilt is done with T-shirts
provided by the person who is hav-
ing the quilt made. My sister usually
lays out the design, e-mails a photo
and then gets the OK. Each year she
surprises our club with a new design,
so each one is unique. It is a great way
to recall the trips and have a quilt too.
She also makes pillows (also pictured),
costing your chapter or club about
$40 plus shipping (T-shirt provided by
purchaser), and they make great raffl e
items for meetings. We have made up
to $200 at our meetings; our members
love it. Her business is named High
Cotton Quiltworks which is located in
Chattanooga, Tennessee. Anyone inter-
