Gutier- rez, who began working at the walnut and grape nursery in 1973, has served as president and operations officer of Cal-Western Nurseries and Farming Company since 1992. He has changed the name of the business to Far Western Nurseries. Shur Farms 2015 Scholarships Awarded Shur Farms of Colton, Calif., has awarded its 2015 Shur Farms Frost Protection Scholarships to two Cali- fornia Polytechnic University of San Luis Obispo students: Skye Bruce and Nicholas Fantozzi. Bruce is majoring in wine and viticulture; Fantozzi is a civil engi- neer major. Shur Farms 2016 scholarship applications are now being accepted. The deadline is Aug. 1, 2016. VinoVisit.com Reinvents Customer Experience VinoVisit.com, a Napa, Calif.-based provider of wine industry tasting room reservation man- agement software, has redefined the guest experience with new features and functionality including: Google Maps integration; a selection of more than 600 wine tastings online; in-depth arti- cles, immersive stories and quizzes; educational/ entertainment videos; multi-day itinerary building and more. NMHG Appoints Gregory Poole Following its acquisition of the dealer opera- tions of Dougherty Equipment Co. and VBS Inc. Material Handling Equipment, NACCO Mate- rials Handling Group (NMHG) has appointed Gregory Poole Equipment Company as an authorized dealer of Hyster lift trucks in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and West Virginia. The Greenville, N.C.-based NMHG also has named Gregory Poole as an authorized dealer of Yale lift trucks in some states. San Francisco Wine School Expands With the opening of its new, 4,000-square-foot space, San Francisco Wine School is now the largest wine school in the U.S. The Wine Educa- tion Center in South San Francisco will host an ever-expanding lineup of wine-related credentials, certifications, workshops, intensives and special events. The space also will be available for a vari- ety of other uses. Affairs of the Vine Moves to Nevada After 15 years of producing wine events in San Francisco, Affairs of the Vine, a Sonoma County events company, found it increasingly challenging to deliver quality, reasonably priced events in the Bay Area. As a result, the company has moved its Annual Pinot Noir Summit and Annual Caber- net Shootout and Grand Tasting to the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nev. Herrick Grapevines Under New Management Herrick Grapevines of Santa Rosa, Calif., is now under new management and a new com- pany structure. As part of the restructure, Diego Barison has joined as general manager and Ofelia Hurtado will serve as the administration and cus- tomer relations representative.
