I DA U N I V E R S A L J a n u a r y - Fe b r u a r y 2 0 1 6 21 New solid-mount and optional Roller Suspension system undercarriages are available for select Bobcat compact track loaders, including the T550, T590, T630, T650, T740, T750 and T770. Dual-fl ange front idlers now ride on the rubber track's roller way. ese new front idlers, along with wider rollers, help reduce vibration to improve operator comfort and reduce track wear on the inside of the track. Single- fl ange idlers are still found on the rear of the machine to help minimize de-tracking. Ride Quality e optional Roller Suspension system has also been changed to optimize ride and operational characteristics. It also incorporates the dual fl ange front idlers, wider rollers, along with mono-leaf springs, for smoother action. e front idlers have been relocated to enhance machine operation. Improved track carriage cleanout A horizontally mounted tension cylinder opens up more loader's engine when the preset idle time is met. Cab improvements New Doosan wheel loaders feature cab enhancements that include an improved adjustable steering column to provide more leg room, ease of opera- tion and more fl oor space. Also inside the cab, a new fuel consumption gauge informs operators of how much fuel the machine is using in real time. Operators can read the fuel consumption gauge on the standard color LCD screen. Updates to the keypad on the dashboard make it easier for operators to review, adjust settings and to clean and maintain it. Visibility within the cab and around the machine has been improved, too. Two rear LED lamps provide better views, especially when working at night. Additional features of the DL200-5 and DL200TC-5 include heated mirrors to melt frost and snow, a sun visor and an optional rearview camera. e rearview camera is visible from the LCD screen and provides a view of the machine's rear surroundings. Improved serviceability Ease-of-maintenance updates include additional oil sampling ports to improve preventive maintenance procedures. In addition, various fl uid pressures are now viewable via the dash panel, allowing monitoring from inside the wheel loader cab. Easy attachment changes Versatility is impor- tant to wheel loader owners when they are working on a jobsite, especially when they want to change attachments quickly. e DL200-5 and DL200TC-5 may be equipped with an optional hydraulic quick coupler to easily change non-hydraulic attachments, including buckets – general purpose, light material or multi- purpose – and pallet forks. Applications Wheel loaders in this size class – 130 to 150 horsepower – are commonly operated on commercial building sites; road construction and mainte- nance projects; livestock facilities; site preparation for residential developments; land improvement and water control projects; oil and gas exploration/drilling sites; and water and sewer projects. Tier 4 solution New Doosan DL200-5 and DL200TC-5 wheel loaders are powered by Tier 4-compliant diesel engines. Doosan achieved Tier 4 emission requirements without the need for a diesel particulate fi lter (DPF). e wheel loaders' diesel engines are optimized for use with a high-pressure common-rail (HPCR) fuel delivery system and a cooled exhaust gas recirculation (CEGR) system. New to the DL200-5 and DL200TC-5 is a wastegate turbocharger (WGT) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) with diesel exhaust fl uid (DEF). e wastegate turbocharger utilizes a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) to reduce particulate matter (PM) and SCR a ertreatment to reduce nitrogen oxides (NOx). ● www.pennenergy.com, 12/11/15 NUTS & BOLTS continued from page 19 Bobcat Introduces New Compact Track Loader Undercarriages room between the carriage and track for easier cleanout. e undercarriage is sloped on both sides to shed material, such as sand, dirt, mud and debris, better than the previous design. Additionally, raised cutout between the rollers allow for easier cleaning. Increased fuel capacity Depending on the model, operators will see an increase in fuel capacity by up to 45 percent. Actual volume and operational time will vary by machine model. Enhanced ground clearance Ground clearance at the center of the undercarriage has been improved by up to 29 percent, helping operators travel through mud, sand and other so soil conditions more easily. Improved clearance at the rear of the machine Clearance at the rear of the machine has been increased. is allows machines to travel over curbs and other obstacles with less chance of catching on them. Interchangeable tracks Narrow and wide tracks for compact track loaders are interchangeable at a Bobcat dealership. ● www.bobcat.com, 12/7/15 Nuts & Bolts continued on page 33
