In January, the Aggregates Industry Outlook (AIO) rebounded by more 1.52 percent against December, to an overall
score of 127.51. The increase came — with cautious optimism — on the heels of the passage of the Fixing America's
Surface Transportation Act, also known as the FAST Act. Adverse weather, however, is impacting some operators.
Comments:
Weather may infl uence the next quarter vs. last year. 2015 never really had a winter rain season. This year
looks to be shaping up as a strong rain event.

The spending bill ratifi ed by Congress and signed by the President has potential to create an infl ux of
capital for much needed infrastructure improvements. We're watching with great interest what is accom-
plished regionally.

The transportation budget approval will allow farther range planning by DOTs. This should have a posi-
tive impact on the industry (stating the obvious, of course)!
