In January, the Aggregates Industry Outlook (AIO) rebounded by more 1.52 percent against December, to an overall score of 127.51. The increase came — with cautious optimism — on the heels of the passage of the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act, also known as the FAST Act. Adverse weather, however, is impacting some operators. Comments: Weather may infl uence the next quarter vs. last year. 2015 never really had a winter rain season. This year looks to be shaping up as a strong rain event. — Keith Severson, Marketing Communications Manager, Graniterock The spending bill ratifi ed by Congress and signed by the President has potential to create an infl ux of capital for much needed infrastructure improvements.
