Standing Guard
There's something special about riding in the
deserts of the American Southwest in springtime.
Winter rains bring much-needed moisture to the
parched earth, turning the desert from brown
to green, with wildflowers providing a splash
of color. And the oppressive summer heat has
not yet arrived. Here Clement Salvadori arcs a
BMW R 1200 GS Adventure around a curve under
the watchful gaze of several majestic saguaro
cactus, which can live up to 200 years.
