Outdoor adventure abounds in Theodore Roosevelt National Park, which covers 70,400 acres of the breathtaking North Dakota Badlands! Take a leisurely drive through the south unit of the park on a 36-mile scenic loop through the Badlands. The winding drive features striking overlooks with unbelievable views, trailheads for 12 different hiking trails, interpretive signs about the Park's history and natural wonders, and real prairie dog towns — plus, you might even get a close up with a bison! Experience this unique wilderness through daily Ranger programs which include short talks, guided walks, tours of Roosevelt's Maltese Cross Cabin and evening programs at the campground amphitheater. Or set out on an experience all your own!
