Hook up to your favorite turf vehicle for quick and easy seeding Patented floating heads follow the ground contour—you won't destroy unmarked sprinkler heads TriWave technology creates the optimum slits for improved seed-to-soil contact, increasing germination by 30% while minimizing turf disruption METE-R-MATIC ® XL Just hook up and go —ground-drive system means no hydraulics or speed calibration 60" drop spreader with extra large hopper capacity for less reloading Patented Chevron ® belt ensures uniform application of all types of materials, regardless of moisture content Optimum grading depth for high quality fi elds should be 16 inches [this depth will be replace with 4 inches of base material pitrun (naturally occurring deposits of sand and gravel) and then 12 inches of sand (Figure 1)]; drain tiles are typically trenched into the subsoil at the bottom of this grading depth. Bases should be graded fl at, or have a crown of 6 inches from the center to the sidelines. Although a 16-inch depth is optimum, it is possible to build a functional fi eld with a 12 inches layer of sand and no fi ne gravel base; however, similar to the design described above, drain tiles should be set another 4 inches down into the subsoil. After drains, the drain lines are trenched and before the sand is installed, the drains should be covered with fi ne gravel or coarse sand material. Figure 1
