This vodka is gluten-free. It mixes well with simpler mixers like ginger ale, iced tea and lemonade. The company also recommends it in a classic Peach Bellini when paired with champagne or sparkling wine. Deep Eddy Peach is available nationwide. $19.99 per 750-ml bottle. www.deepeddyvodka.com MAD MARCH HARE POITIN Irish alcohol is more than just beer and whiskey. Poitin — pronounced 'put-cheen', named after the small pot stills its made in — is Ireland's answer to American moon- shine. It's traditionally distilled from malted barley, grain, treacle, sugar or potatoes. Distilled in a copper pot still using malted barley, Mad March Hare Poitin is an 80-proof spirit. Mad March Hare launched in Califor- nia, Massachusetts, Illinois and New York last February, and Connecticut this March. Enjoy it over ice or with a simple mix, such as ginger ale or soda. $24.99 per 750-ml bottle MALIBU PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE This new product can be drank in shots, mixed with fruit juices or blended with ice cream. Malibu Pineapple Upside Down Cake is 21% ABV. It is nationally available. To drive awareness of Malibu Pineapple Upside Down Cake, the brand has implemented digital media, public relations activations and content on the brand's social media platforms, the company says. Additionally, point of sale materials along with in-store sampling in key markets will drive trial and awareness of Mal- ibu Pineapple Upside Down Cake among new consumers at select retail outlets throughout the country. $14.99 per 750-ml. bottle. www.maliburumdrinks.com SAM ADAMS NITRO BEERS Nitro beers use a combination of both nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Nitrogen is mostly insoluble in beer, so the resulting bubbles are smaller and create the rich, creamy texture familiar to nitro beers. Nitro White Ale (5.5% ABV) is made with orange peel, coriander and Grains of Paradise, with hints of orange and peppery spice and a light wheat character. Nitro IPA (7.5% ABV) has initial creaminess that gives way to hop intensity gathered from Amarillo, Centennial, Galaxy, Polaris, Simcoe, and Zeus hops. Nitro Coffee Stout (5.8% ABV) is a jet black brew with dark roasted malts, notes of bittersweet chocolate with hints of dark fruit. $8.99-$10.99 per four-pack of 15-oz. cans www.samueladams.com OLE SMOKY APPLE PIE MOONSHINE HIGHER PROOF This product was originally released at 20% ABV (40 proof). However, the company raised the new batch to 70 proof (35% ABV). Apple Pie moonshine is a traditional moonshine fl avor. At 40 proof, it has been a staple for Ole Smoky and the best-selling product for the business, the company reports. Because of its success, Ole Smoky strategically decided to raise the proof. While the fl avor has been slightly altered, the sweet taste of Apple Pie still remains, the company says. $19.99 per 750-ml. bottle www.olesmoky.com YELLOW ROSE WHISKEYS Named after the Yellow Rose of Texas — a traditional song of the state that dates back to General Sam Houston's 1836 victory at the battle of San Jacinto — Yellow Rose Distilling was founded in 2010. It is Houston's fi rst legal whis- key distillery. Their products include: Outlaw Bourbon Whiskey, which owes its sweet, full-fl avored fi nish to a recipe that utilizes 100% corn and a traditional pot still. 46% ABV.
