Pantone's Color of the Year makes a strong showing in jewelry
ach year, The Pantone Institute declares one color to rule above all others. This color is expected by the color gurus at Pantone to cross multiple categories, infiltrating the worlds of fashion design, interiors and furnishings,
jewelry design, and more. This year's hue of distinction is Tangerine Tango and variations on the bright, juicy shade have indeed been popping up everywhere. In jewelry, orange diamonds, orange moonstone, slices of pol-
ished coral and more are a burst of sunshine in the new mix of designs. The unexpected color has the ability to be both bold and playful, making in work in everything from more traditional designs to very funky, modern pieces. Such citrusy stones are sure to fair well in the summer months, lending a little extra sunshine to the season, but also are rich enough to carry into
cooler months, offering a fiery pop of color to the more earthy au- tumnal palette.
