Since alcohol and gambling are treated similarly in public policy and many Canadian licensees offer both, regulating the two together has proven effective and efficient. Visitors to Canada may note that the selection of prod- ucts available in government-run stores is narrower than most Americans are used to, and that Canadian products dominate selection, even in the wine aisle.
