www.cheersonline.com 14 • May 2016 DRINK CULTURE PRODUCTS 3 Badge Beverage Corp. has introduced the Pasote line of tequilas. Each is made from pure blue agave that is baked and then distilled with rainwater and natural spring water in copper pot stills. Pasote's master tequilero grows the blue agave in the Jalisco Highlands in Mexico and uses traditional production techniques to make "pure and distinctly herbal" tequilas, the company says. Each Pasote glass bottle is made by a family of glass artisans and has slightly asymmetrical wave patterns visible in the glass. SRP: Blanco $49 per 750-ml. bottle, Reposado $59 per 750-ml., and Anejo $69 per 750-ml. Black Trumpet Blueberry Cordial is the newest farm-to- bottle spirit in the collaborative Art in the Age Infusions series coming out of Tamworth Distilling. Blueberries plucked from New Hampshire's Foss Mountain serve as the base, followed by black trumpet mushrooms from the New Hampshire Mushroom Co. Lemon verbena and lavender from the distillery's own botanical gardens add some floral and citrus notes. The 25% ABV finished product is a balanced cordial enjoyed on its own, over ice or suited in a cocktail, the company says. SRP: $25 per 375-ml. bottle. Prestige Wine & Spirits Group has added Champs de Provence rosé to its portfolio. A classic dry rosé, with notes of red berries, citrus and orange blossom with a medium-body, hints of raspberry and a zesty mineral finish, Champs de Provence is comprised of 40% grenache, 30% cinsault, 20% syrah and 10% carignan and mourvedre. It pairs with imported cheeses and dishes prepared with intense spices, the company says. SRP: $18.99 per 750-ml. bottle. Forever Young Wine Rosé comes from St. Tropez, France. It has hints of citrus zest with a flavor of clementines, the company says. For the production process, the grapes are destemmed and left for maceration, then put in a stainless-steel container for fermentation at controlled temperature. The wine is then matured in oak barrels. Forever Young Wine is imported and distributed by Dozortsev & Sons Enterprises. SRP: $19 per 750-ml. bottle. E. H. Taylor, Jr. Seasoned Wood Bourbon is a 100-proof, bottled-in-bond, small-batch wheat recipe bourbon that was aged for more than a decade. The barrels in this release under- went a variety of special seasoning processes. Some barrels were made from staves that were immersed in an enzyme-rich bath with water heated to 100 degrees. After spending time in this proprietary solution, these staves were then placed into kilns and dried until they reached an ideal humidity level for crafting into barrels. Other staves were seasoned outdoors for six months, and others were left outdoors for a full 12 months before being made into barrels and sent to Buffalo Trace Distillery to be filled and aged. SRP: $69.99 per 750-ml. bottle. Brown-Forman will introduce the company's first new bourbon brand in 20 years with the release of Coopers' Craft. This bourbon, presented at 82.2 proof, will be available in select markets this summer. In addition to maturation in barrels raised by master coopers at the Brown-Forman Cooperage, Coopers' Craft is crafted using a special beech and birch charcoal filter finishing process, according to the company. This creates a smooth and flavorful bourbon. Coopers' Craft will be available initially in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee. SRP: $28.99 per 750-ml. bottle. To tap into the continuing popularity of vodkas fea- turing natural fruit flavors, Skyy Vodka has launched Honeycrisp Apple and Tropical Mango Infusions. With apple remaining one of the top trending U.S. flavors in food and beverage, the company says it aimed to create a vodka with a crisp and balanced sweet-tart flavor. For cocktail lovers caught up in mango-madness, Skyy Infusions Tropical Mango offers sweet, ripe, tropical fruit aromas and distinc- tive mango taste. Both are 70 proof. SRP: $13.99 per 750-ml., $16.99 per 1-L., and $19.99 per 1.75-L.
