Custom Rigs 48 | Overdrive | May 2016 S ix custom show trucks won Best of Show honors at the annual 75 Chrome Shop Pride & Polish show held last month in Wildwood, Fla. They will compete in the 2016 Overdrive's Pride & Polish National Championship, the finale of which will take place in August at The Great American Trucking Show. The six winners will square off against the Best of Show winners from the three other Overdrive's Pride & Polish shows held in the 2015-16 season. That group will include the six Best of Show winners from both the 2015 GATS and the 2015 PDI Pride & Polish show, along with the winners from the upcoming Fitzgerald Glider Kits Pride & Polish show sched- uled for mid-July. SIX FROM 75 By JAMES JAILLET BEST OF SHOW, LIMITED- MILEAGE COMBO Owensville, Indiana-based Brian Davis of Davis Bros. Trucking won with the company's 2015 Peterbilt 386 and 2016 Wilson grain hauler, dubbed "Buzz Kill." The truck won Best of Show at last year's Fitzgerald Pride & Polish show in the Limited-Mileage Bobtail category, marking the second straight year the rig will compete for a Pride & Polish National Championship. BEST OF SHOW, WORKING COMBO Shawn Cielke of Haugan, Montana, won with his burnt orange 2005 Kenworth T600 and 2017 Wabash trailer. He named the truck "Redneck Low." BEST OF SHOW, BUILDERS CLASS BOBTAIL Bob Harley of Burbank, Ohio, picked up his second straight Wildwood win with his 1972 Peterbilt 358A. The truck, which Harley's named "Bad Attitude," won in the Limited- Mileage Combo category at last year's show. Photos by Brian Bourke
