The company sold their products on a retail basis and also worked with the major local car dealers to o•er high end after-market radios for consumers who wanted more than just an "AM Radio". With a successful and well established wholesale and retail business, the family was approached by Panasonic Corporation to distribute their commercial vehicle radio products on an exclusive basis, resulting in Pana-Pacific Corporation. Pana-Pacific is now an integral provider of entertainment and communication products to virtually every major commercial vehicle manufacturer in the United States, and ships approximately 500,000 parts every month to customers worldwide. The Brix Group is a leader in connectivity solutions through the holding company and its operating subsidiaries. 1892 – German engineer Rudolf Diesel invents a revolutionary compression-ignition engine. 1925 – To help address the high pressure and heat generated in diesel engines, scientists at Vacuum Oil, a predecessor firm of ExxonMobil, formulate a special oil. Vacuum Oil registers the product as Diesel Engine Lubricant by Vacuum Oil, or DELVAC. The Mobil Delvac brand is born. 1940s – The diesel engine's popularity in vehicles during World War II results in wide use in commercial vehicles after the war. 1950s – The U.S. government approves the Federal Highway Act to fund construction of 41,000 miles of highway, leading to dramatic growth in the trucking industry. 1970s – ExxonMobil launches its first synthetic diesel engine oil – Mobil Delvac SHC™. Mobil Delvac synthetic heavy-duty engine oil is launched a few years later. 2013 – Mobil Delvac 1™ LE 5W-30 – a new, low-viscosity synthetic diesel engine oil – becomes available worldwide. February 17, 2015 – marked 90 years since the patent was filed for Delvac diesel engine oil. Throughout the year, the brand celebrated its long and productive partnership with the trucking industry.
