MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT BEST WISHES TO THE 2012 provide our athletes a great golfing challenge. As President of British Columbia Golf, I would like to wish all of our competitors an excellent championship season. British Columbia Golf takes extreme pride in staging exceptional championships at great courses throughout the province. We believe that the venues we have selected for our 2012 championship series will COMPETITORS We would also like to thank all of the host venues for their unwavering support of golf in the province. Without your hard work in preparation for our events, the reputation of competing in a British Columbia Golf championship would not carry with it the prestigious reputation that it does. For this effort, we thank you. Have a great 2012 championship season and we wish you all of the best out on the links. Hit it far and hit it straight! Keith Larson BC GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES BOSTOCK CUP The Bostock Trophy, presented annually to the Amateur Champion, was donated by Senator Hewitt Bostock in 1895 on the condition that it be used for the Amateur Championship of British Columbia. of the Victoria Golf Club, and could not be won outright by any winner. Hence, this trophy is "on loan" from the Victoria Golf Club to Golf British Columbia for the presentation each year to the Amateur Champion. It was to remain the property While the actual trophy is presented to each year's Champion, this Champion is also given a keeper trophy and the Bostock Trophy is returned to the BCGA, inscribed with the name of the Champion. Only 4 players have won the Bostock Trophy more than twice: Harvey Combe (8) and William E.
