WWJ Earns APEX Award in Magazine Category While this is the 14th consecutive year Water Well Jour- nal has earned an award in the competition hosted by Com- munication Concepts, this marks the first time WWJ has been honored in the category factoring in all aspects of a publication—the editorial content, graphic design, and more. WWJ earned a 2016 APEX ® Award of Excellence in the category of "Magazines, Journals, & Tabloids—Print" for its January 2016 issue. A year ago, WWJ won in the Most Improved category following its redesign in 2014. WWJ has won a total of 28 APEX Awards, the most in the ground- water industry. Communications Concepts provides education information for publishing and marketing professionals. The competition, which had more than 1600 entries this year, focuses on excellence in editorial content, graphics design, and overall business communications among for-profit and nonprofit organizations. "I'm very pleased Water Well Journal was recognized in the magazines category," WWJ Editor Thad Plumley says. "Last year's Most Improved award came after a reinvention period. A lot of hard work went into the improvements and it was rewarding to be recognized for our efforts. But this new award is all about excellence—the goal of our staff and what our readers deserve." 6 2 139 Twitter @WaterWellJournl The Groundwater NGWA Association SM CLEANING IT UP IS HARD TO DO Take the confusion out of well rehabilitation, page 18 Also: Tracking well health, page 22 Focus on planning and efficiency, page 30 California lawsuit extends into 2016, page 10 January 2016 WWJ August 2016 17 national ground water association CERTIFIED ABILITY EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE
