Custom Rigs PRide & Polish 58 | Overdrive | August 2016 T he final six qualifying spots for the 2016 Overdrive's Pride & Polish National Championship were doled out last month in Crossville, Tenn., at the Fitzgerald Glider Kits show. The six Best of Show winners named Dallas-bound BEST OF SHOW, BUILDERS BOBTAIL Wisconsin-based small fleet owner and opera- tor Jonathan Eilen returned to the Pride & Polish show circuit at the Fitzgerald event after a two-year hia- tus. His 1990 Peterbilt 379, "The Hustler," is the newest build from the Eilen clan. Eilen's Pride & Polish awards include a National Championship in 2011. BEST OF SHOW, LIMITED-MILEAGE COMBO Brian Davis and his Davis Bros. Trucking scored again at the Fitzgerald show with their 2014 Peterbilt 386 and 2016 Wilson trailer. The aero Pete, dubbed "Buzzkill," also won Best of Show at the 2015 Fitzgerald Pride & Polish and Best of Show in this year's 75 Chrome Shop Pride & Polish in Wildwood, Fla. BEST OF SHOW, LIMITED-MILEAGE BOBTAIL Tom Davis, also of Davis Bros. Trucking, won with "Jaw Breaker," the Indiana fleet's 1999 Kenworth W900. Photos by Brian Bourke
