Academy of the Sacred Heart School Visit
Meritor, Walmart Transportation and Trucker Buddy teamed up to teach the students at
Sacred Heart Middle School in Bloomfield Hills, MI about the trucking industry and how it
relates to their lives.
Walmart drivers Marcy Johnson and Steve Elliston brought the Walmart No Zone trailer
so the students could see how to safely maneuver around a big rig truck. Sounds like they had
a very successful visit, learned a lot and had fun. A special thanks to Cheryl Kilborn and the
entire Meritor team for doing such a good job of coordinating and managing the event.
Mid America Honorees
Trucker Buddy honored some of it's Outstanding Trucker Buddies and Teachers at the
press conference on Friday April 1, 2016 at the Mid America Truck Show. Those honored were
nominated by their teachers, classes and drivers.
Tammy Agnew a teacher at Salem Elementary in Russell Springs, Kentucky along with
her Trucker Buddy Hale Swords a driver for Epes Transport was honored as an Outstand-
ing Teacher and Michael Rexford a driver for Regal Services was honored as an Outstanding
Trucker Buddy with recommendation by his teacher Jina Newman a 4th grade teacher at Lincoln
Elementary in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
