SHE A R PROT EC T ION The exceptional shear control of Castrol Hypuron 15W‑40 correlates to consistent film strength and wear protection with minimal oil consumption throughout the drain. Castrol Hypuron 15W‑40's stay‑in‑grade technology comes from its radial polymer, found in its viscosity improver. Hypuron 15W‑40 stays‑in‑grade longer than conventional CJ‑4 15W‑40 diesel oils while maintaining strong film strength. Why? Many engine oils use viscosity improvers that employ "long chain polymers." Once the shearing forces within an engine attack a "long chain polymer," permanent viscosity loss is likely. Once viscosity is lost, oil thinning, reduced film strength and increased oil consumption result. The shear stability of Castrol Hypuron correlates to: • Consistent film strength during drain • Reduced oil • Longer engine life • Lower cost per mile/km Conventional Castrol's Radial Polymers Normal Sheared B A C K N E X T E 2 8 L A B C H E C K E N G i N E T R A N S M i S S i O N A X L E F i F T H W H E E L & G R E A S E S S U P E R C L E A N H O M E H Y D R A U L i C F L U i D S C A S T R O L H Y P U R O N 1 5 W‑ 4 0
