The integration, through Dossier On-Board cloud services, now provides meter and diagnostic trouble code data from PeopleNet telematics to Dossier. A future release will add bidirectional information transfer for electronic driver vehicle inspection reports. • Lytx, a provider of video telematics, announced a collaboration with Pana-Pacific, a supplier of audio and electronics to commercial vehicle manufac - turers, to sell and install its DriveCam program through heavy-duty truck dealerships. Select deal- erships also will be certified to install Lytx's DC3P video event recorder used with DriveCam. • InMotion Global integrated its AscendTMS cloud- based transportation management software system with Trucker Path's Truckloads online marketplace, providing AscendTMS users access to both the mobile and web-based versions of Truckloads to source loads using real-time infor - mation on available truck capacity with verified driver location data. • MacroPoint, a provider of freight tracking software, announced an integration with 3PL Systems, a provider of transportation manage - ment software systems for freight brokers that offers dispatch and operations capabilities. The integration is intended to allow brokers using 3PL's TMS to track shipments more accurately. • Logistics company DB Schenker announced a partnership with uShip to power its new European Drive4Schenker online trucking platform that uses uShip's Pro enterprise technology backbone to manage 25,000 approved carriers and execution of up to 10,000 loads per day. The application is designed to allow any business with freight to create its own private network of vetted carriers that compete to win the shipper's business. • U.S. Xpress (CCJ Top 250, No. 13) selected Bestpass to combine its tolling accounts into one. The Chattanooga, Tenn.-based company operates more than 8,000 trucks with affiliates including Total Transportation of Mississippi and Xpress Internacional. • Quality Carriers, part of the Quality Distribution (CCJ Top 250, No. 31) family of companies, selected Bestpass to consolidate its toll accounts into one system for the bulk tank trucking fleet's 2,500 trucks and 6,400 trailers. • CarriersEdge announced that mobile on-site fuel delivery provider 4Refuel selected its online safety and compliance training tools to improve its new- hire driver training processes by cutting out one day of classroom training and assigning courses to be completed in advance, streamlining its driver onboarding process. Go Rugged features a rugged exterior enclosure, which allows for instal- lation outside of the vehicle and helps protect against intrusion of solid objects, dust, accidental contact and water. The device also offers engine data reporting and Iox expandability, which allows users to expand the capability of their fleet management solution. – CCJ Staff MobileDemand tablet camera offers 3D dimensioning M obileDemand, a provider of rugged tablets for mobile workers, released its xTablet T8650, an 8-inch Windows tablet with an integrated Intel RealSense 3D rear- facing camera designed to create realistic 3D models of a subject as well as near-field automatic measurements. The software acquires measurements, dimensions, object recognition and 3D e-scenes from the camera using advanced computer-vision technology and algorithms that can feed 3D data to existing end-user applications. Other features include a 2D barcode imager, a fingerprint reader, 4G LTE, GPS, dual-color cameras and vehicle mounting. – Aaron Huff Panasonic upgrades Toughbook 54 P anasonic announced upgrades to its Toughbook 54 mobile computer, enhancing its capabilities with a faster Intel Core i5-6300U vPro processor and an upgraded Windows 10 Pro or Windows 7 Professional operating system. The Toughbook 54 is suited for workers who need a semi-rugged device in environments such as field service, utilities, automo- tive, government and public safety.
