Bressani, 47, formerly c.e.o. of the Octavio Café in Sao Paulo and O'Coffee – Brazilian Estates, is a Specialty Coffee Association of America Q-Grader and a former v.p. of the Brazilian Specialty Coffee Association. Bressani previously ran the Cafés do Brasil Marketing Program conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture. "Luiz, Jose, and I are very similar in beliefs, man- ners, family values. We share the same thoughts, have a strong human side and a passion for coffee and net- working," said Bressani. "Capricornio Coffees was created to reveal and promote amazing coffee estates located in an area that had been forgotten in the past years, although it used to have many farms as finalists at Cup of Excellence Competition. The region is becoming the new 'hot' area from which to source." Bressani will be directly involved with the commer- cialization of coffees from the partners' estates. "There are many amazing coffees to be presented and beautiful estates and 'terroirs' to be introduced to roasters. The company has been developing and signing partnerships with local farmers, aiming at building long-term relations, and paying them better prices. Partnerships have to be sustainable and always offer a win-win situation in order to last," said Bressani. The campaign runs nationally in the US through early 2017. The purpose is to increase awarness and demand for 100% Colombian coffee, especially among millennial and emerging coffee consumers. "Greatness is Brewing" finds common ground in Café de Colombia's meticulous processes and quality with a millennial pursuit to do more," according to the FNC press release. "Previous generations readily recognize that Colombian coffee is among the best in the world," said c.e.o. Roberto Vélez. "We want new coffee drinkers to have a better under- standing of the superior qualities... how they are selectively picked, inspected for quality and taste."
