Your FEEDBACK
GAINING NEW INSIGHT
My father and I have owned a local business for four
generations. Our business is dedicated to drilling and servicing
water wells. We started as a little shop in Texcoco, 45 minutes
from Mexico City. Now we own three rigs, a service machine
(an old Bucyrus), and some pump hoists.
We have attended the NGWA Groundwater Expo the last
five years. Many of our upgrades on our equipment were
made from the things, suppliers, and friends we made at those
events. Many of the techniques we are applying in our work
we learned at those Expo sessions.
When we found out about Water Well Journal, we got a
subscription. I've read every single article I think could be
useful to our business. However, since the magazine is mainly
in English, both my dad and my uncle sometimes can't get
the whole idea of the articles. So I've begun translating some
articles to Spanish so they can read those and get the benefit
of the excellent articles you publish.
The July issue published the article "The Oxidation Reac-
tion" by Roger Miller. What a great article! It gave us a new
insight on how to comprehend what oxidation means and how
to treat it—not to see oxidation as a foe, but to be objective.
So I write these lines to thank you for the excellent work
you are making in the magazine. Thank you very much for the
work every month your staff makes so we can keep our shop
working and up to date.
