DRINK CULTURE Wine on Tap at Hyatt In an effort to increase its commitment to the environment, the Center Stage Bar at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale is introducing "Wines on Tap," offering a wine product that goes from the barrel to the keg. The wine is blanketed with an inert gas to keep it fresh and there are approximately 26 bottles of wine in each keg, saving more than two cases worth of glass, cork, cartons and labels. Empty kegs can be washed and refi lled, further fulfi lling the Hyatt philosophy of "healthy people, healthy planet and healthy communities." The Hyatt's bar is featuring a unique wine on tap promotion. "Taste the Notes" Th ursday program, which pairs half glasses of wine that try to match guests' palates with their musical tastes. Guests can try any of 20 wines by the half glass for $2 to $4, from a menu that spotlights each wine with a comparison to a musical genre. Th e list includes wines from all over the world, including a number of producers who are donating a portion of their proceeds to music-related charities.
