tion that kicks off Thursday
at Pere Marquette Park then
transforms both sides of the
Milwaukee River on Friday
through Sunday with beer
gardens, music and food. At
Sazama's River's Edge Patio
(Marcus Center) don't miss the
Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich
with Lemon Caper Aioli.
Admission to this event
is free but all guests at
Oktoberfest must be 21 or
accompanied by an adult.

Enjoy German brass bands,
folk dancing, singing, yodeling
and dancing. Foods available
for purchase include Span-
ferkel, Grillhendle, Wurst on
pretzel roll, assorted authentic
German desserts.
Main festivities are in the
Alpine-style pavilion. Picnic
tables and benches seat up to
2,000 in the scenic park situated
along the Milwaukee River.

Enjoy a special Oktoberfest
menu including Pork
Schnitzel, Currywurst,
Smoked Knockwurst and
hot pretzels. On tap will be
liters and 500 ml of Summit
Oktoberfest, Surly's Surly
Fest, Weihenstephaner Hefe
Weissbier and New Holland
Ichabod Pumpkin Ale. The
party starts at noon.
On Friday (5-9pm) and
Saturday (5-10pm) there will be
a beer garden and live music
on Paramount Plaza held in
conjunction with the Fall Into
Grafton festival (See p. 10). The
beer garden features German
beers from the Fermentorium
Brewery in Cedarburg.
