Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest from Miller Coors Oktoberfest from Sprecher Brewing Sasquash and Oktoberfest from Milwaukee Brewing Co. Sasquash is brewed with loads of pumpkin and sweet potato, specialty malts and a touch of pumpkin spice. Oktoberfest is traditionally brewed with pale ale, caramel and toasted Munich malts that attribute a sweet earthy malty flavor, toasted aroma and a bright orange hue. WSB's best seller in the fall uses real pumpkin, fresh vanilla beans and the pumpkin pie spice blend from Milwaukee's Spice House for this caramel-flavored, orange- colored ale. The flavor is similar to a slice of homemade pumpkin pie in a glass. Growlers and 16oz swing top bottles in singles or 4 packs are available at WSB. SEASONAL BEER GUIDE LARGE BREWERS REGIONAL BREWERS MICRO BREWERS BREW PUBS Pumpkin Ale from Water Street Brewery This is a traditional Märzen- style beer featuring a toasted malt flavor and subtle, spicy hop notes that make it perfect for celebrating fall. Founded in Chippewa Falls, Wis., in 1867, the Leinenkugel family brewery is now directed by the sixth generation of Leinenkugels. The brewery was bought by Miller Brewing in 1988, a partnership which has brought Lienenkugel brews to beer lovers throughout the US. Traditionally brewed to celebrate the harvest season, this reddish- brown lager has a rich caramel character and a long flavorful finish. Its delicious malty sweetness is nicely accented by a slighty fruity bouquet and a mild hop flavor.
